Robin, who is a teacher and reading specialist in the Salem adult education program, is also a certified special educator and LD specialist. Robin is also the author of a popular newsletter, “Building a Teacher’s Tool Box,” and a related blog for New Hampshire adult educators at nhldnews.wordpress.com.

  • Assistance with the screening of adults identified with possible learning disabilities
  • Strategies to help struggling students develop realistic goals
  • Training for teachers and students on effective teaching and educational strategies that will be helpful for specific students with learning problems and for all students
  • Ideas about how assistive technology can help
  • Recommendations on referrals to other services, such as Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Assistance, in cooperation with your program’s Disabilities Coordinator, in identifying resources for formal assessment of learning disabilities in students over the age of 21 when an assessment is required for GED testing accommodations 
  • Robin maintains a list of qualified evaluators willing to assess adult students.
  • She can also provide information about the assessment scholarship for students who could not otherwise afford formal assessment.
